If you have private healthcare insurance the cost of your physiotherapy treatment may be covered at Prime Sports Physiotherapy Clinic, or you be able to claim back fees paid for your treatment. Each individual insurance policy will cover different treatments so check with your insurance provider to see if yours includes physiotherapy. If shockwave therapy is a preferred treatment option, a block of treatment will also require pre-authorisation by your insurance company.
Your health insurance company may require a GP referral letter in order to authorise the cost of your treatment at Prime Sports Physiotherapy Clinic. Please let us know your pre-authorisation number for treatment and insurance company details at your initial appointment. If there is an excess on your insurance policy, you will be required to pay Prime Sports Physiotherapy Clinic directly once your insurer has processed our invoice.
In our BOOK APPOINTMENT section, you can book an appointment directly for pre-approved insurance physiotherapy appointments. Please note that the length of an insurance client appointment initial appointment and follow-up physio appointment will be different to self-paid client appointments as the insurer sets the fee schedule based on their contract with us, and therefore we do require an appointment to be booked as an insurance appointment to keep to our agreed timings. The exceptions are for WPA, Cigna, and Health Cash Plan clients where the insurer reimburses the clinic as per our current fees and so appointment timings can be booked as non-insurance clients.
If you are planning to attend for massage/soft tissue work, please note that most Health Cash Plans will only reimburse for treatments performed by clinicians that have HCPC registration. This means appointments with Physiotherapists can be claimed, but Massage Therapists are not HCPC registered and massage therapy costs will not be reimbursed by the insurer.
Below are some examples of providers that we are registered with. If your insurance provider isn’t listed, please get in touch as we may be able to register with them also.
