Heidi Talbot

Heidi Talbot

Yoga & Pilates Teacher

Heidi is a Pilates and Seasonal yoga instructor based in Ratho, Edinburgh. When not teaching Pilates and yoga, Heidi is a touring musician and singer.
“I find that the body-breath-mind connection that is maintained throughout Pilates not only strengthens me physically but also grounds me and gives me a deep calming feeling that I can take with me not just when I’m performing but throughout my everyday life.
I also teach seasonal and hatha yoga. I started practicing yoga after the birth of my second daughter – at first for the physical benefits and then fell completely in love with the holistic approach of yoga – the mind/body/emotional connection. The benefits of yoga for me are many – I feel less stressed, my anxiety disappears, a general feeling of wellness and positivity, I feel more energised and I feel physically stronger, more flexible. I have a tendency to believe yoga is my cure all medicine! I love teaching yoga – especially when I feel I have helped to transform someone’s energy by the end of the class. Some people come stressed and a head full of to do lists and thoughts and by the end of the hour, I see them leave a lot happier, calmer and more present and connected to what’s happening in the moment. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning about the yoga system – every time I step on the mat, another benefit of this ancient system reveals itself.”

Heidi holds a Yoga Alliance recognised diploma in Vinyasa practices of Seasonal Flow/Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, and Pre and Post Natal Yoga as well as a a Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Mat-Based Pilates.
